Scope
These terms apply to the purchase of interview slots from the Kanavana online service. The service is intended for businesses and organisations and is not sold to consumers. When buying, the buyer gives a Finnish business ID, and the buyer's name and address are fetched from the Finnish Business Information System (YTJ) or the EU VAT register (VIES). A company that has ceased trading, is in liquidation or is bankrupt cannot buy. The buyer confirms that they are entitled to place the order on behalf of the business or organisation they name.
What is being bought
One interview slot covers one candidate interview. A purchase creates an order that produces individually referenced invitation links. One link lets one candidate complete one interview, and its report is delivered to the buyer's verified email address.
Prices and VAT
Prices shown in the service exclude VAT. Finnish VAT of 25.5 % is added, and the total to be charged is shown before payment. An invoice itemising the tax is sent for each purchase.
Ordering and formation of contract
Orders are placed in the service while signed in with a verified email address. A binding contract is formed when the payment provider confirms the payment. The invitation links are created and delivered at that moment.
Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Kanavana does not receive or store card details.
Delivery
Delivery is electronic and takes place immediately once payment is confirmed. Invitation links are emailed to the owner who placed the order, and are available in the service and downloadable as a CSV file.
Validity and expiry
Interview slots are valid from the moment of purchase for the period stated at purchase. Once that period ends, unused slots lapse and are not refunded. Validity is not extended on the grounds that the slots were not used in time.
Cancelling an order
In business-to-business sales there is no statutory right of withdrawal. An entirely unused order may nevertheless be cancelled within 7 days of payment by notifying shop@kanavana.fi. An order is unused when none of its interviews has been started. For a cancelled order, the amount paid is refunded less the payment processor's fee and a handling fee of EUR 7, and a credit note is issued. The invitation links of a cancelled order stop working. A partly used order is not refunded.
Faults and refunds
If delivery fails for a technical reason, or the invitation links do not work, contact shop@kanavana.fi. The fault will be corrected. If an interview is interrupted by a technical fault in the service, the slot is replaced with a new one. Used or expired slots are not refunded.
Liability
The service is provided as is. Kanavana's liability is limited to direct damages up to the amount paid for the order in question. The report produced by an interview is decision support, not a recruitment decision; the buyer is responsible for the choices it makes and for their lawfulness.

Governing law and disputes
The contract is governed by Finnish law. Disagreements are first addressed by negotiation. Failing that, disputes are settled in the District Court of Helsinki.
